The material is relatively lightweight, but sturdy and durable enough to hold a lot of weight and bulk, which of course is important for something you'll be carrying something like a car seat in. I feel like you could also use this bag for other bulky items as it is super roomy; I will likely loan it out to my older kid when he moves into his dorm to start college later this year. think it'll be a useful item to carry a ton of oddly sized and possibly heavy items for a move, especially with the handy backpack element.The straps are all well made and add to the quality feel of this bag. I was particularly impressed by the zippers. They have solid pulls, and the zippers themselves zip open and closed very smoothly and look like they'll be in it for the long haul when it comes to the life of this bag.One other nice feature is the little circular rubber pads on the bottom of this. They are substantial enough to really make a difference when you set this down, in terms of protecting the bottom of the bag from extra wear, plus it's handy to have one extra little layer of protection from whatever dirt and dust you'd be picking up on the bag, especially in a public place like an airport.I'll be comfortable checking this bag as luggage if I need to when I fly, as it is feels plenty durable enough to hold up to baggage handlers and getting moved on and off of an airplane. I ordered the version with the yellow straps as I thought it would make it easier to identify. And speaking of keeping track of the bag, it also has a little sleeve that's covered in plastic to slip in a piece of paper with your contact info on it.
