It was a mess.I finally started using a washable pad underneath, but we still were going through towels. I purchased these disposable pads to replace towels.Life got exponentially better. These thin pads do a good job of keeping the washable pad clean and dry. Heavy soiling/urine will sometimes soak through a little to the secondary defense—but that's rare (mostly overnight). The thin pads are surprisingly durable and don't cause any uncomfortable skin wrinkles.Don't fear wondering if these work. They are WONDERFUL! Buy them if you need to simplify your caretaking needs.It's been weeks and we've NEVER had soiled sheets using the disposable pads over the washable pads.
