The design is sturdy and adaptable as a child grows, which is a major advantage. However, I have found the straps difficult to tighten, which can be inconvenient. I have to reach behind the seat and pull the straps tight and then pull the strap in the front until it’s taunt. Once they’re forward facing, if you don’t have small enough hands to reach behind the seat, it will be rather difficult to tighten them up. (No, the strap isn’t twisted anywhere, I have checked.) Also, the recline mechanism feels unusual even when the seat is level. Despite these challenges, it remains a high-quality seat overall and the convertibility is easily done.
