The screen display is clear when viewed on the phone.Setup was straight forward, I already had the ‘outinput’ app for another camera from the same manufacturer, so just a case of connecting to the camera. The app was very similar to one have used for a standard indoor camera, just with additional baby orientated functions, such as cry detection, temperature and humidity, feeding reminders, lullabies, night light, soothing sounds etc. There is a privacy mode which stops all camera functions when activated.I used the manual connection method which involved the camera scanning a QR code on the phone screen. You can record to MicroSD card (with the slot generally hidden under the camera lenses, to access the camera needs to be pointed upwards). Alternatively there is a paid cloud storage option.The camera was very responsive when set on motion detection / tracking, generally moving around in the direction it detected movement, so can mostly be relied upon to record movement in the room. On occasion it can lose its sense of direction but generally recovers, possibly because we have it mounted in quite a tight space, as it seems to lose you when you walk underneath. It can also be moved around from the app, as there is a setting to control the movementApart from the ‘cute’ appearance, it serves well as an indoor security camera. I have removed the silicone cover and use it mounted in the roof of the garage; the supplied ceiling mount works well in this application.Well made, good range of features for the price.
