I need noise to sleep. Sometimes I use an app on my phone, but I decided I wanted to try something separate from my phone. I looked at a lot of items. I knew I wanted this to be travel friendly, so I was really only looking at small ones. This one has been perfect. I have used it both at home and when traveling. It's small and the charge has lasted up to 2 weeks for me. There is only a limited number of sounds, but I wasn't looking for variety. I was looking for small, light and is there A sound on it I like. I usually listen to 'brown noise'. I think this device calls it white noise. That is the sound I use. It's easy to turn on and off and you can easily adjust the volume. My only complaint is that depending on how it's packed, it can turn on unintentionally. I found this out when I was traveling and got to the hotel and the sound machine was ON. I would recommend.
